Singapore's first Beach Tennis Academy
Pacific Beach Tennis Academy (PBTA) exists to make beach tennis accessible, exciting, and loved across Singapore and the region. From beginner classes to competitive training and community events, our mission is simple: build a strong, connected beach tennis community and help the sport thrive throughout Asia.
At PBTA, everyone is welcome, whether you are kids, adults, families, complete beginners, or aspiring competitors! We have programs designed for all ages and all levels, so anyone can step onto the sand, learn at their own pace, and discover the joy of beach tennis.
Founded
Coach Beto arrived in Singapore in 2019, bringing with him the vibrant beach tennis culture of Brazil and quickly building a welcoming community through Singapore Beach Tennis Club. For years, he ran social sessions, taught newcomers, and nurtured a growing group of players who found joy, connection, and escape on the sand.
Pacific Beach Tennis Academy (PBTA) was created to carry that mission forward, giving beach tennis a dedicated home and a clear path to grow in Singapore and across Asia.
To lay the foundations for a vibrant and sustainable community through professionally led classes and structured competitive development in order to establish a Beach Tennis culture in Asia
To develop beach tennis and make it a thriving sport across Asia, starting from Singapore.
Beach tennis was born in Italy, shaped by Brazil’s vibrant outdoor culture, and now finds new expression in Asia. Just as the sport has grown through cultural blending, Pacific Beach Tennis Academy embraces a global, inclusive spirit. We believe beach tennis is a universal language: one that brings together people from different backgrounds through play, energy and community.
Beach Tennis wouldn’t truly be Beach Tennis without the sea and the view of the beach, even when we play on the sand. At Pacific Beach Tennis, we celebrate and respect the power of the environment, and its ability to inspire, ground, and transform us.
Beach Tennis is a game of quick, explosive reflexes, where there’s no room for hesitation. At Pacific Beach Tennis, we embrace this spirit, seizing every moment as an opportunity to grow the sport, and ourselves.
Behind every great community is someone who believes in it first.
For Coach Beto, that belief began on the beaches of Brazil, where he first picked up a paddle and discovered a sport that felt like pure joy. What started as passion soon became a profession. With over 10 years of international coaching experience across the world, Beto has taught hundreds of players, from beginners finding their first rally to professional athletes training for competition.
Coach Beto holds certifications from the USTA, USPTA, PTR, and ITF, and possesses two master’s degrees, including one in Sports Education Psychology. His academic background gives him a unique edge, blending technical precision with a deep understanding of how people learn, stay motivated, and thrive through sport.
When he’s not coaching, you’ll find Beto designing new training programs, planning overseas player trips across Asia, or hosting PBTA’s community events and social BBQs. His goal? To make beach tennis a household sport in Singapore and to see local players competing proudly on the international stage.
I’ve joined Coach Beto and the team a few times while visiting Singapore, and they always make me feel welcome. It’s the perfect mix of a good workout and fun social vibes, which makes every game even better. Can’t wait for my next trip to play with them again!

I loved the Beach Tennis at Sentosa! We met them while being at the beach and came back the next Sunday ready to play! I came with 3 other friends and it was our first time playing. Everyone was super supportive and welcoming! They taught us how to play and we got right into a game! What a fun experience, would highly recommend!!

During three month from Jan. to Mar., I enjoyed playing beach tennis with them. They were friendly and welcoming to new members including me. They even lent me a racket, so I could join in easily. The beach atmosphere was great, and we all had fun playing together. I looked forward to playing every weekend. I will join again when I go to Singapore next time

Being part of the Singapore Beach Tennis Community for the past 2–3 years has been an incredible experience. Learning the game took some time, but it became both enjoyable and rewarding with commitment and the right guidance. Now, I eagerly look forward to weekends filled with sand, sun, and the thrill of beach tennis.

II’ve been playing beach tennis off and on since 2019. I find it a fantastic sport that’s fun, healthy, competitive and inclusive all in one go. It is ONE that attracts the dynamic, the sporting, the young-at-heart, the easy-going crowd from all over Singapore (and Asia) that fuels a competitive, spirited, and energetic presence every weekend and even some weekdays at the beach.

Come dressed for comfort and movement. Activewear, shorts, and sports tops work best. You’ll be playing on sand, so go barefoot or wear sand shoes.
For day classes, it’s highly encouraged to bring a good pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from glare. And of course, don’t forget your sunscreen and water!
Nope! All equipment is provided, paddles, balls, and nets are included in every session. But feel free to bring your own racket if you have one!
